Oct 13, 2026Public review corrections and fee refresh. Cardsphere, Card Kingdom, Star City Games, CardNexus and TCG Bulk were re-read against their published schedules; model rates are unchanged. Cardmarket blocked retrieval and CoolStuffInc returned general shop content, so both retain Sep 1 dates pending confirmation. Clarified 15 ranked fee models plus 3 bulk selling options, corrected provider attribution and purchase availability, and moved technical history here. Fee verification does not validate card values or buylist assumptions.
Oct 13, 2026Three bulk selling options added. Full Grip Games and Meta TCG cover eligible English Pokémon bulk; Card Conduit Standard covers Magic shipments. These require a whole-stack cash quote or assessed buylist value, known shipping and extra deductions. No bulk offer is inferred from a retail price. Card Conduit Standard includes 10% plus $0.03 per card. Source rules were checked on public pages, not verified directly by these companies.
Oct 11, 2026eBay, TCGplayer, COMC, Fanatics Collect, Whatnot, Mercari, Poshmark and Mana Pool re-verified. Each was re-read against its own published fee pages. One correction shipped: Poshmark's terms charge the $2.95 flat fee on sales of $15 and under, so a sale of exactly $15.00 now pays $2.95 rather than 20%. Whatnot moved to sales-volume tiers on Sep 21, 2026; its base tier is still 8%, and its published schedule still lists 0% on the portion over $1,500 for trading cards (limited time), so the estimate is unchanged. Lower tiers for high-volume Whatnot sellers are not modelled, so the estimate errs high on fees for them. Cardsphere, Cardmarket, Card Kingdom, CoolStuffInc, Star City Games, CardNexus and TCG Bulk were not re-read in this pass and keep their Sep 1 dates. Each fee breakdown now also says how many days ago its schedule was read, and has a “Report a fee problem” link.
Oct 8, 2026Photo estimates and catalogue limits. Quick and Deep Grade are photo-based screening estimates, not professional grades or a calibrated accuracy guarantee. Deep Grade uses additional edge photos. If its computer-vision step is unavailable but a usable Quick assessment completes, the result is labelled and billed as Quick Grade. Camera focus and glare hints are advisory; review the photos yourself. This update does not re-verify the marketplace fee schedules below.
Sep 8, 2026The sales-tax caveat reached one venue out of fifteen. It now reaches nine. The fee breakdown carries a “Buyer sales tax — not estimated” row, because on some venues the fee is charged on a base that includes tax the buyer paid and you never receive. That row was hardcoded inside the eBay fee function, so it appeared on eBay and nowhere else — not because the other fourteen venues had been cleared, but because there was no per-venue value to leave blank. Every venue now records both the answer and how the answer was established, and the two are kept apart on purpose: a page that says “item price plus shipping” is a confirmed zero, a page that never mentions tax is not. 2 venues are confirmed tax-inclusive, 6 are confirmed zero, 7 are unknown, and unknown shows the caveat rather than hiding behind it. The correction we are least proud of is Whatnot: its commission excludes tax, which we read and recorded as a zero — three paragraphs later the same page states that its payment processing fee is charged on the total order value including buyer-paid tax. We still model no tax rate anywhere; the gap is disclosed, not guessed. Full working, with source quotes, is in the tax table below.
Sep 7, 2026Verification stamps became real dates, and two disclosures were corrected. The stamps were month strings ("Sep 2026") and their age was measured from the last day of that month, which always rounded toward fresh and could hide up to 29 days of age. A stamp dated in the future was worse: its age was clamped to zero, so it read as permanently verified. Stamps are now the actual date each schedule was read — Sep 1, 2026, the date of the full audit — and a missing, unparseable or future date now reads as not verified rather than as fresh. The pill also now says “Fee schedule verified” so it cannot be mistaken for a verified price. Separately: the fee note used to read “fees are charged on the item price only”, which describes our estimate but states it as eBay's rule — eBay charges on the total sale including buyer-paid shipping and sales tax, so our estimate can run low, and the note now says so. The unmodelled buyer-sales-tax row showed $0.00; an unknown amount is not zero, so it now shows an em dash.
Sep 2, 2026Poshmark, COMC and Fanatics Collect re-read again; no rate moved. Poshmark still charges $2.95 flat under $15 and 20% at $15+. COMC per-card intake still runs $0.65–$2.50 across Standard/Select/Elite (raw and graded; odd-sized items run to $5), and cash-out is still 10% plus $1 when converting under $250, $5 for a US check and $15 outside the US. Fanatics Collect Buy Now is still 6% below 120% of Card Ladder market value and 12% at or above — we re-checked because a flat 8% is widely repeated second-hand, and it is wrong. New disclosure this pass: Fanatics now offers eligible US sellers a FanCash payout at 0% marketplace seller fee on both Buy Now and auctions. We do not model it in Net payout because it pays in store credit rather than cash, and vault fees still apply — it is now noted on the Fanatics row instead.
Sep 1, 2026Poshmark, COMC and Fanatics Collect re-verified. Re-read against each venue's own published schedule; no rate changed, so only the verification stamps moved to Sep 2026. Poshmark remains $2.95 under $15 and 20% at $15+. COMC remains per-card intake plus a 5% transaction fee, with the 10% cash-out optional. Fanatics Collect Buy Now remains tiered against Card Ladder market value — 6% below 120%, 12% at or above, not a flat 8% — and its auctions remain 0% seller with a 20% buyer premium. Tier contents restated to match the app: Pro = 9 venues, Pro Max adds 4 buylists.

Sep 1, 2026Full 15-venue fee audit + cross-border disclosure. Every venue was re-read against its own published fee schedule, terms and help center. Corrections shipped: Whatnot's commission bills the item only while its 2.9% + $0.30 bills the whole order including shipping; Mana Pool's 5% excludes shipping but its card processing does not; CardNexus's 8% bills the order total, not just the item; COMC adds $1 when you cash out under $250; TCG Bulk charges a 10% service fee and Star City Games charges 10% on Ship + Sell. Separately, every venue now shows its operator country, payout currency and what selling across a border actually costs — including on locked rows. Cardmarket is a German company and CardNexus is a French one; both are now labelled as foreign venues rather than presented as if they were domestic.
Sep 1, 2026Stale-fee guardrail. Two thresholds, not one. A venue re-verified 31–45 days ago keeps its Verified label but turns amber, so you can see the clock running. Past 45 days it changes to a • Stale pill, and a stale venue cannot rank #1 in the payout list while any freshly verified venue remains. If every venue becomes stale, CardResell labels the ranking as reference-only rather than presenting a stale winner as current. As of the Sep 1, 2026 full audit below, no venue is stale.

Aug 31, 2026TCGplayer and eBay fee corrections. TCGplayer commission corrected 10.25% → 10.75%, plus 2.5% + $0.30 payment processing, both charged on item + shipping, capped at $75/item. eBay's final value fee confirmed to apply to the whole order — item + shipping + tax — not the item alone, with a per-order charge of $0.30 at or below $10 and $0.40 above.
Aug 30, 2026eBay + TCGplayer + Whatnot + Mercari + Mana Pool + Cardsphere + Cardmarket + SCG + Card Kingdom + CoolStuffInc + CardNexus + TCG Bulk fees re-verified against each venue's official help pages. No fee changes detected; verification stamps refreshed to Aug 2026.
Aug 2026High-price clamp. When a feed's raw High comes back above 3 × Market (or 3 × Mid when Market is missing), the displayed High is capped at that anchor and the original is kept as
highRaw. High is display context only — Net Payout is calculated from Market Value.Aug 2026PriceCharting wins over TCGplayer for graded values (PSA 10, PSA 9, BGS, CGC, SGC, TAG). PriceCharting samples eBay sold comps directly and matched hand-audited reality more often. Backed by a 3-attempt retry, 12s timeout, and 60s error cache.
Aug 2026Grade-switch race protection. Added a
_syncGen generation guard so rapid PSA 10 → PSA 9 → BGS 10 flips can't leave a stale grade result on screen.
